Filling up one vacant post of Senior Agricultural Engineer at North Eastern Region Farm Machinery Training and testing institute on deputation.
Applications are invited from eligible and suitable officers for filling up one vacant post of Senior Agricultural Engineer [General Central Service, Group ‘A’ Gazetted] in Level 11 (Rs. 67700 -208700) in pay matrix, at North Eastern Region Farm Machineru, Training and Testing lnstituie, Biswanath Chariali (Assam), a subordinate office under Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers welfare, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare on deputation (including short term contract) basis.

Pay Scale: Level 11 (Rs. 67700-208700) in pay matrix.
Age Limit: The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (including short term contract) shall not be exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
Eligibility Conditions for appointment on deputation (including short term contract basis:
Officers under the Central Government or state government or union territory administrations or public sector undertakings or agricultural universities or recognised research institutes or councils or semi-government or autonomous or statutory organisations:
(a) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
(ii) with five years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the pay band-3 Rs. 15600-39100 and grade pay of Rs. 5400 or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; or
(iii) with seven years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the pay band – 2 of Rs.9300-34800 and grade pay of Rs. 4600 in the parent cadre or department; and
(b) Possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:-
(i) Degree in Agricultural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering of a recognised University or Institute and
(ii) Five years’ experience in operation and maintenance of tractors, agricultural machinery and allied equipments including teaching experience in any Government or private listed organisations; or Five years’ experience in handling independently testing and evaluation of farm machinery and agricultural implements in any Government or private listed organisation.
Desirable: Post Graduate Degree in Agricultural Engineering from a recognised University or Institute.
